Dr Lynda (Lyn) Goldsworthy AM provides science and policy advice to the DSCC relating to Australia’s engagement in high seas protection and fisheries. She is a research associate at the Institute for Marine and Antarctic Studies, (IMAS) UTAS, focusing on high seas and Antarctic governance and geopolitics. In 2022, after many years working as a non-government advocate for high seas and Antarctic conservation, Lyn completed her Ph.D. at IMAS, UTAS, exploring the challenges facing the Convention on the Conservation of Antarctic Marine Living Resources (CCAMLR) in a geopolitically dynamic and climate changing world. Current research projects include spatial protection in high seas, the rights of nature for Antarctica, and decision-forming mechanisms for the Antarctic Treaty System.
